What we usually do when we see unknown word in the email? Start the browser, open the search engine site, make a request. I wrote a small extension for the mail client Mozilla Thunderbird, which simplifies this process.

How does it work?
Mark the word (or phrase) in the email, press the right mouse button and select “Find … on the Internet.” After that opens search engine page with search results.
The default search engine is the Google. You can choose another search engine in the extension settings – menu Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions tab -> Quick Web Search -> button Settings.
